First races of 2017

A great start to 2017.   Tough conditions at the Ambition champs in Hinterreit with temperatures well below minus 20 degrees!  I got a second after just one run in the GS as I crashed out on the second run and missed the next race but the following day I took first in the Pro Slalom.

At the Evolution Speed Races held in Reiteralm I finished first in GS and 3rd in the SG.  I am back at school for a little while but looking forward to getting back to Austria and then on to Bormio of the English Alpine Champs.

Good start to the summer season 2016

The summer league season started with the School’s ERSA race which again had about 300 kids racing but this time at Ipswich.  Norwich Lower School entered three teams so lots of team mates who are new to racing.  We had a really great day with the U10s winning their category.  The U12 team was fastest team overall and I won fastest U12.   I was interviewed by Anglia News for ITV!.

The Norfolk and Suffolk club nationals were last weekend.  At a great third run I took overall U12 boy after of Ryan but our positions were reversed on the Sunday at Suffolk.  I was leading after the second run but Ryan’s good third run was faster than mine.  Well done Ryan.

Norwich School Ski team does it again!

Lower school ski team photoThe ERSA schools race was held at Norfolk this year. Almost 300 kids from 59 schools took part so it was a long but very enjoyable day.  My team of Harvey, Jonny , Hamish and myself took to the slopes in the U12 male category.  We won gold in the team event but also took the overall junior school trophy.

Our Senior boys skied in the afternoon event. Adam won overall fastest of the day. The team won the U19 Male category and also overall Senior school.

News update

It has been a little while since I added any news. Just been too busy.

The Interschools and Aiglon College Cup races went very well. I represented Norwich School and got 4 podiums out of 4 races.  I really enjoyed myself. Interschools

Success at the English Alpine Champs

Well what a busy couple of weeks.  First a fab week of training in Austria with Team Evolution followed by the English Alpine Champs in Bormio.   The racing went as planned. The Combi was a tough course with lots of crashes but luckily I finished both runs.  I took second in both the GS and the Combi but took the U10 English Champs Titles. Then we dashed home for my tenth birthday and a Quasar party with my friends.  Back to school today and working hard.

Some training before the English Alpine Champs

Zauchensee 8th Feb 2015_smallI have just had a brilliant couple of days powder skiing in Zauchensee and Flachau.  It has been very cold and hasn’t stopped snowing since we arrived but the skiing is amazing.

Things haven’t always gone to plan as I manage to get buried in a large hole in Zauchensee on Sunday.  Thanks Alex Reidy for getting me out.

Having a fab time and looking forward to the English Alpine Champs next week at Bormio.

“Head” trick at the Anglo Scottish

Well what a fab week at the Anglo Scottish and BSA Champs.  The Saturday saw a slalom race on the Maison Neuve after a change of location.  Three runs down a short slalom course.  The course was simple and straight forward and after the first run I was comfortably in the lead however it was the best two runs to count out of the three.  Luckily I held on to my lead and ended up fastest on all three runs.  Well done to Kayne Stanway for coming second and Sam Chambet third.

Met Olympic medalist Kristoffersen!

My new website goes live!

Big thanks to Squeegee and Clearsite for building it for me.
I will now be able to keep my friends and family up to date with where I am and what I have been doing.

Norfolk Club Champs

A great day of racing at Norfolk snowsports club.  Slalom, GS, an U12 Head – to Head all topped of with an amazing firework display.
